Support for remote working with ADHD

When you have ADHD, work remotely (alone…), and have to rely on your own executive functioning to get things done… it may not be pretty.

As a therapist working with people who have an ADHD diagnosis or executive functioning challenges, I’ve found that people who work remotely without coworkers (read: body doubles) for accountability, structure, expectations, etc., experience:

> heightened anxiety > negative self-talk > difficulty finding motivation

> difficulty imposing structure > the struggle to initiate tasks > constant overwhelm

What are we talking about? What are the Executive Functions?

Is this you? You are NOT alone.

In this group we will:

  • Find validation and relief that it’s really not just you. I absolutely promise you this is true.

  • Discuss concrete, actionable strategies that WORK for some people to see if they could work for you

    • Like… What are systems and how do I make them? What is body doubling? What do I do about rejection sensitivity?

  • Review and plan new strategies to try

  • Reflect, get feedback, support, and insight

  • Make connections for supporting one another with coworking sessions
